Inspiration
The Land & the Divine Collection draws its inspiration from the visual languages of Palestinian and Afghan textile traditions. These pieces explore how women preserve their culture through thread, even in the face of displacement and loss.
Across generations and geographies, similar motifs emerge: symbols of protection, identity, and devotion, stitched into garments and woven into everyday life. From the embroidered dresses of Palestine to the intricate textiles of Afghanistan, these patterns reflect a shared spiritual and cultural vocabulary, one that honors the land and the unseen forces that sustain it.
Supporting women’s network
At the heart of The Land & the Divine Collection is a commitment to empowering Afghan and Palestinian women. Through partnerships with women’s cooperatives and networks, the collection supports sustainable livelihoods for female artisans. These women, often working in difficult circumstances, are given opportunities to develop their skills, gain financial independence, and preserve their cultural heritage through craftsmanship.
Made in Kabul
This piece was proudly handcrafted in Kabul by skilled Afghan artisans. These artisans, who bring generations of expertise, work with exceptional attention to detail to create each unique item. From the selection of materials to the finishing touches, every piece is a testament to the craft traditions of Afghanistan, emphasizing both quality and cultural preservation.
