The Photographer
Charles Thiefaine is a French photographer and independent journalist based in Paris. Since first travelling to northern Iraq in 2015, he has developed a long-term practice around territories shaped by conflict and political upheaval. His projects have explored the aftermath of violence in Iraq, the 2019 Tahrir protests in Baghdad, and life on Yemen’s Socotra Island, where he documented a community living amid geopolitical tensions.

This image is part of a collected of curated, limited run prints available for two weeks only.
All proceeds from the sale will go directly towards the cost of training female artisans in Afghanistan. Our training helps them to refine their craft and be able to sell directly to the international market, through orders we help them secure—bringing in vital livelihoods to their families and communities in a country facing economic crisis.
