Inspiration
The Land & the Divine Collection draws its inspiration from the visual languages of Palestinian and Afghan textile traditions. These pieces explore how women preserve their culture through thread, even in the face of displacement and loss.
Across generations and geographies, similar motifs emerge: symbols of protection, identity, and devotion, stitched into garments and woven into everyday life. From the embroidered dresses of Palestine to the intricate textiles of Afghanistan, these patterns reflect a shared spiritual and cultural vocabulary, one that honors the land and the unseen forces that sustain it.
Supporting women’s network
At the heart of The Land & the Divine Collection is a commitment to empowering Afghan and Palestinian women. Through partnerships with women’s cooperatives and networks, the collection supports sustainable livelihoods for female artisans. These women, often working in difficult circumstances, are given opportunities to develop their skills, gain financial independence, and preserve their cultural heritage through craftsmanship.
Made in Palestine
This piece was proudly handcrafted by our women’s groups in the West Bank. After stitching the intricate symbols in their homes, the shirts are finalized at a dedicated workshop in Bethlehem, where the phrase "One Day A Gate Will Open" is carefully embroidered in both Arabic and English, bringing the shirt to its final form.
Sustainable materials
In line with our commitment to eco-conscious practices, our shirts feature linen sourced from deadstock materials provided by luxury fashion houses in Europe. By repurposing these fabrics, we prioritize waste reduction in the fashion industry through the upcycling of fabrics.
